# Type Alias: StateValues

```ts
type StateValues = Record<string, ComponentState>;
```

Dashboard state keyed by component id. Each entry contains that component's named values.
Use the ids returned by `getStateSchema()` to read or update specific components.

Updates merge by component id and state key. Omitted entries stay unchanged; set a value
to `null` to clear it.

## Example

```ts
const state: StateValues = {
  "region-menu": { filter: "EMEA" },
  "date-range": { filter: ["2026-01-01", "2026-06-30"] }
};
```
