# Type Alias: StateErrorCode

type StateErrorCode = "invalid-filter" | "invalid-state" | "unknown-id";
```

The reason a state update was rejected. Use `code` in error handlers; the human-readable
`message` may change.

* `invalid-filter`: the value failed the component's filter schema validation.
* `invalid-state`: the component's state was not a JSON-serializable object.
* `unknown-id`: the dashboard has no component with that id. The update was ignored.
